The ThinkLite StayCool system keeps track of temperature constantly. If the temperature rises above 80F, the LEDs will switch off while the fans remain on until the system is cool again.

The fans will keep the entire system cool even in an enclosed fixture. The fans are designed to cool the air surrounding the pod especially in an enclosed fixture.
3mm thick copper based PCB board keeps temperature of the LED chips low. Copper is 4x more effective than silicon, which is typically used, at keeping that temperature low.
